Using AstraCalculator means accepting what is below. It is short, because the site is simple: it does arithmetic and shows you the working.

These are estimates, not advice

Every result on this site is an estimate for planning. The calculators use standard trade figures and average material densities, and real material varies with moisture, compaction, supplier and how it is installed. Always measure the actual site, check the figure printed on the product you are buying, and allow extra for waste.

Nothing here is engineering, construction, legal or financial advice. Anything structural, anything load-bearing, anything that needs a permit, and anything where failure could hurt someone belongs with a qualified professional who can see the site. A retaining wall over four feet is the obvious example, but it is not the only one.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Reasonable care goes into every formula and every page states the arithmetic it used so you can check it, but no promise is made that a result is accurate, complete or fit for your particular job.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, AstraCalculator is not liable for any loss arising from the use of this site. That includes material ordered short, material ordered over, wasted time, and work that has to be done twice. You are responsible for checking a quantity before you buy it.

Using the content

You are welcome to use the calculators for personal and commercial work, to print a result, and to share a link to any page. The text, the layout and the calculators themselves remain the property of AstraCalculator. Do not copy pages wholesale onto another site, and do not scrape the site automatically.

Links to other sites

Some pages link elsewhere, and advertising may link anywhere. Those destinations are not controlled by this site and are not endorsed by it.

Changes

These terms can change, and the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the new version.
