Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AstraCalculator collects when you use the site, what it does not collect, and what third parties can see. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What this site does not collect

There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter and no contact form. The site never asks for your name, your email address, your phone number or your payment details, and there is nowhere on it for you to enter them.

The measurements you type into a calculator are worked out in your own browser. They are not sent to a server and they are not stored anywhere. Closing the tab is enough to be rid of them.

The link you can copy

Every calculator has a button that copies a link containing the numbers you entered. That link is built in your browser and put on your clipboard. Nothing is uploaded when you press it. If you choose to send that link to someone, the numbers travel inside the web address, so treat it the way you would treat any message you send.

Saving a page as a PDF

The PDF buttons use your browser and operating system print dialog. The file is made on your own device. Nothing is uploaded and no copy is kept by this site.

Server logs

Like any website, the hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: the page address, the time, the browser type and the IP address that asked for it. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you and they are not sold.

Advertising and cookies

This site is paid for by advertising, and advertising is served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and to measure them.

Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and to other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Third-party vendors other than Google may also serve ads on this site and may use their own cookies. This site does not control those cookies and does not receive the data they collect.

Your choices

Every browser can block or delete cookies, and most can block third-party cookies outright. Doing that does not break any calculator on this site, because none of them need a cookie to work. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you also have rights to access or delete personal data held about you; write to the address below and it will be handled.

Children

This site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious on the page rather than buried in it.
